Approximate Translation from Latin:
This stone indicates the ashes of John Babb this parochial gentlemen, who had intervened to prevent Death. William John called upon another; He was the sole heir to his grandson Richard M. Ducke. For a long time, he lay motionless from the disease. His last breath on August 1st, Year of 1697. Age 68.
Not amenable to the reader, is that there is not enough wealth to buttress life or abstain from death's wounds, no matter what beforehand is conjured and derived.
