Earlene Cain, 86, of Blountstown, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Blountstown. She was born on May 20, 1928 in Jackson County, and had lived in Calhoun County all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Medford Cain; two brothers, Cecil and Hershall Bennett; and one sister, Beatrice Taylor.

Survivors include one son, David Cain of Blountstown; three daughters, Linda Stewart and her husband, Michael of Tampa, Joan Sheppard and her husband, Kenneth of Clarksville and Carolyn Nobles and her husband, Joey of Bristol; three brothers, Hasten Bennett of Blountstown, Wane Bennett and his wife, Dorothy and Steve Bennett and his wife, Pat, all of Texas; three sisters, Virginia Peterson and her husband, Russell of Blountstown, Vivian Guilford and her husband, Gene of Panama City and Elizabeth Bennett of Southport; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Friday, March 20 at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. Interment followed in Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown.
