Darrell Mitchell, 41, died November 16, 2006. He was born to Alice Mitchell-Williams and the late James Mitchell on April 21, 1965 and was educated in Brooklyn, N.Y. At a very early age, Darrell demonstrated a kind and giving heart, a willingness to help others, a gift that was recognized by the many who knew and loved him. His illuminating smile and walk would light up a room, along with his charming personality. Darrell was educated at Alexander Hamilton High School, Brooklyn, N.Y. but drew his wealth of knowledge from the many books he enjoyed reading and other sources made available to him. Darrell volunteered his time facilitating fundraisers for the research of Sickle Cell Anemia, a disease that he battled his entire life. We take this time to celebrate his amazing life.
