Pauline Cox, 94, of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 in Blountstown. Born in Chattanooga, TN, July 2, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Curtis and Suda May Legg Floyd.
She lived most of her life in Blountstown, where she worked as a purchasing agent for the Calhoun County School Board for many years. She was a member of Blountstown United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel Monroe Cox and and an infant son, Daniel Monroe Cox, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Cox and his wife, Peggy and Gary Cox and his wife, Judy, all of Blountstown; four grandchildren, Steve Cox, Tracy Cox-Stanton and her husband, Scott, Eddie Cox, and Jennifer Grozdanoff and her husband, Brian; and seven great-grandchildren, Tex Cox-Stanton, Johnny Cox-Stanton, Alex Cox, Kiera Cox, Anderson Cox, Ian Grozdanoff and Alana Grozdanoff.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 25 at Blountstown United Methodist Church with Reverend Nicholas Hughes officiating. Interment followed in Pine Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions be made to Blountstown United Methodist Church, 20500 Central Avenue West, Blountstown, FL 32424 or to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 765, Blountstown, FL 32424.
