Family records say Lewis never married. He is buried with his brother John's family and his nephew Lewis the son of Lyman who died in a logging accident when Lewis was young. The Adams traveled as a group from Connecticut to the St Lawrence region of New York, and later to Kalamazoo Michigan. Lewis was named after his father Solomon Lewis Adams who is last recorded in 1840 in the town of Rossie, St Lawrence New York living with his son John Adams.
