It is not certain Solomon died in Rossie. He could have traveled to Michigan at an advanced age before he died.
Solomon was the son of Solomon who was in turn the son of Solomon. His mother was Sarah Meacham, and his grandmother was Abigail Monroe a cousin of President Monroe who visited Rossie.
According to marriage records Solomon married Zilpah Washburn on February 26, 1789 in Stafford Tolland, Connecticut. Died in Somers, CT, July 1814. She was the daughter of William Washburn and Lydia Cross, and was born June 3rd 1771 in Stafford. In 1830 four of their children are in Rossie; John, Lyman, Henry, and Desire Adams Billings. John was in Rossie before 1820.

In the 1840 census Solomon is living alone in Rossie at the age of between 70&80. His son John lives right next door. At this time Solomon's grave has not been found, but it is interesting to note a possible relationship of the Somerville Cemetery to Somers Connecticut which is next door to Stafford and where some of the Adams resided.
