Myrtle was born in Madison County, to the late Berlin and Maude Sharp Brown. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Brown. She worked as a cosmetologist, caregiver, and homemaker.
She is survived by a son, John Albert Hilton, Jr., of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Rebecca Church, and husband Brad, of Stony Point, a brother, John Daniel “J.D.” Brown, and wife Janet, of Fairview; a sister, Wanda Trull, and husband Jeter, of Candler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
