After high school, Ted enlisted in the US Air Force and was a firefighter during Desert Storm. He served in many countries including Saudi Arabia, Greece, England, and Alaska. Ted retired from the military in 1995 but continued to work on the Incirlik Air Force Base in Adana, Turkey for Vectrus as a fire fighter.
In his spare time, Ted was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family. He loved his time spent at his home in Traverse City and his Villa on the Mediterranean.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Zeliha, Sons: Kenan and Murat Borowicz; mother Lottie; siblings: James (Linda) Borowicz of Traverse City, Carol (Dennis) Damaske of Harrison Twp., Paul (Rachelle) Borowicz of Ann Arbor, and Marie Borowicz of Traverse City; many nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Borowicz.
