Jackson proudly served our country in the United States ARMY for 10 years during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Jackson earned his GED in 1951 at Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda, Michigan.
Jackson was a very loving and caring man and worked his entire life. Jackson worked at the US Gypsum in Alabaster for 12 years. He was a sales and factory representative for Newton Manufacturing in Newton, Iowa for 13 years, he was a maintenance Assistant at the East Tawas Housing Commission in East Tawas for 13 years and was a Kitchen Aide and Prep Cook at the Tawas Senior Center for 9 years. Jackson was often seen at local farmers markets selling fruits and vegetables. In 2008, Jackson received an Honorary Alumni award from Michigan Works and in 2010 he received the Experience Works Person of the Year Award.
