Troy C. Howard went to his Heavenly home to be with Jesus at the age of 79 on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. He was born August 10, 1936 in Bowie, Texas to the late Charlie Bell and Elizabeth Pearl Howard. He enlisted into the United States Air Force on September 1, 1953 and was honorably discharged on August 13, 1957. He was a Korean War Veteran and served on the Victoria County Veterans Council Funeral Detail. He was a member of Faith Family Church and a former member of the Jesus Church.

He was baptized at the age of seventeen. He contributed to the construction of multiple churches in the state of Texas. He was an active member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter 223 and The Veterans Council Honor Guard.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by eleven siblings, Addie Lee Howard, Elvie Anita Bell Howard, Elsie Lou Annie Howard, Douglas Jay Harrison Howard, Flossie Harris Howard, twins Ruth and Ruby Howard, Lois Marie Howard, Jenine Richard Howard, Roy B. Howard, and Ralph Earl Howard.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1pm-2pm at Heritage Funeral Home of Memory Gardens. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with David Fuller and Alvin Kight, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
