Hon. William Harper. He was a member of the Iowa State Legislature in 1850 and again in 1870. He was founder of the State Bank of Mediapolis and was it's president for over 20 years. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church for over 50 years.

William married: Harriet Heizer on 4 Aug 1844 in Ross County, Ohio.

They had a daughter by the name of "Lou" J. Harper born abt Nov 1845, who married William Elijah Fuller on 1 Jan 1868 in Kossuth, Des Moines County, Iowa.

"Lou" or Lurissa J. (Harper) Fuller and her famous husband are buried in West Union Cemetery, West Union, Fayette County, Iowa.
