Annett Orr, age 82, of Kinderhook, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 8:15 pm in Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Annett was born August 18, 1933 in Center, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred L. and Velma L. Doyle Green. She married Donald F. Orr on June 17, 1951 in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2011.
She was a graduate of Hannibal High School in 1951. Annett worked for Farm Service Agency in Kinderhook for 10 years, until 1973. She also worked for her sister for 5 years at Carousel Corner, and did demonstration work at Wal-Mart and County Market in Hannibal. She was an active member of the Kinderhook United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, a church administration board member, and a Sunday school teacher. Annett was on the board of the Arthritis Foundation in Quincy. She loved her family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Annett is survived by five children, Cheryl (Bill) Womack of Sherman, IL, Carol (Rod) Bushmeyer, of Quincy, Darrell (Lynn) Orr, of Kinderhook, DeeDee (Ken) Hamilton, of Kinderhook, and David (Tammy) Orr, of Kinderhook; 16 grandchildren, Eric Womack, Victoria Wall, Portia Oberkfell, Rebecca Prost, Sarah Dame, Stephen Womack, Joe Bushmeyer, Tenille Sonethongkham, Bryce Bushmeyer, Douglas and Gregory Orr, Sandy Hamilton, Diana Fowler, Kris Hendren, and Drew and Dylan Orr; 31 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Patti Green, of Hannibal, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Annett was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandson, Roman Bushmeyer, two brothers, Alfred Green, Jr. and William Green, and a sister, Evelyn Williamson.
