Samuel Barron married to Jane (Jain) Miller on 8 July 1790. She was the daughter of Alexander and Eleanor Miller of Greene County Georgia. The Millers had resided in Wilkes County near the family of Prudence Barron before their migration to Greene County in the latter 1780s.
Samuel Barron moved to Greene County in the early 1790s, settling in the portion that became Hancock County in late 1793, near the Oconee River.

Samuel Barron supposedly buried on property now in possession of the widow of Otis Redding. She has denied access to the burial site.
