Corrine E. Mollet, 87, of Jefferson died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. David Roehrich officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a 5 p.m. rosary and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Corrine was born July 16, 1921, in Jefferson, S.D., to Victor and Adwilda (La Croix) Blanchard. She graduated from Jefferson High School. She married Virgil L. Mollet on Sept. 25, 1940. Corrine was a housewife and farmed by her husband Virgil's side. She cooked, was a seamstress and very devoted to her family.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson, St. Peter's Altar Society and St. Peter's Mothers Club.

Survivors include four children, Coleen (Carl) Kittler, Virgene Bosse, Virgil (Marcia) Mollet Jr. and Eugene (Alice) Mollet, all of Jefferson; two brothers, Clifford (Betty) Blanchard of Parker, S.D., and Vic (Salli) Blanchard of Milpitas, Calif.; and two sisters, Danielle (Paul) Irwin of Jefferson, and Sonia (Leighton) Chicoine of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil; a brother, Roger Blanchard; and a sister, Vedeane Colt.
