Jan Acker, Wolfert's brother, was the first deacon of the Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow. Wolfert was the second deacon & eventually an Elder. He is entombed beneath the floorboards of the church along with Frederick Philipse (builder of the church) & other Elders.
