FORMER MARVELL TEACHER DIES
Word has been received in Marvell of the death of Mrs. Ethel P. Donaldson, 83, a former school teacher here and relative of two prominent local families.
Mrs. Donaldson died Sunday, July 13, at an Atlanta hospital. Services were conducted there at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church with burial in Georgia Memorial Park. Friends here will remember Mrs. Donaldson as the former Miss Ethel Pointer who taught school here where the Presbyterian Church now stands.
Members of local families who survive her are a niece, Mrs. J. W. Burton of Marvell; two nephews, S. L. Hall, Turner, and W. D. Mayo of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. A. L. Shaver, Atlanta; a son, J. M. Donaldson, Benson, Arizona; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
