Mary M. Manning, 88, of 18 Jefferson St., died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Manning was born in Lewis Run on March 8, 1918, the daughter of the late Adam and Susan (Bonyko) Chohrach. She was the devoted wife of James J. Manning, who died January 18, 1953. They were married April 24, 1936 in Lewis Run. Mrs. Manning was a lifetime resident of the area and attended schools in Lewis Run. She was a member of St. Bernard Church and a former member of the Catholic Women's Club. She had worked for 27 years at Loblaws Grocery Store and retired as manager of the Delicatessen. She is survived by four daughters, Sister Catherine Manning, SSJ, of Erie, Ann (James) Hayes of Katy, Texas, Nancy (Richard) Sposato of Bradford, Margaret (Thomas) Caputo of Corapolis; a sister, Dorothy Chohrach of Lewis Run; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three grandchildren, Kimberly Hayes, Steven Caputo and Robert Caputo; four brothers; and two sisters.
