William “Bill” Ours, 72, a resident of Buckhannon, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at his home under the care of Peoples Hospice of Clarksburg.
He was born Nov. 29, 1934, at Buckhannon, the son of the late Willie Ours and Ethel Wilfong Ours.
He was married to Mary Eleanor Strader Ours,(1936-2007) who survives at Buckhannon.
Also surviving are one son, William George Ours of Santa Clarita, Calif.; one daughter, Kathryn Lynn Ours of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and three sisters, Grace Allman of Lantana, Fla.(1933-2011), Betty Rollins and husband, Clifford, of Palm City, Fla., and Ruthalee Napoli and husband, Phillip, of West Chester, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Greene.
He was the owner and operator of Straders Inc. and attended first United Methodist Church.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peoples Hospice or St. Joseph’s Hospice. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. From 31 Jan 2007.
