Garlon "Andy" Anderson Hall (55) of Mary Esther, Fla., passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2006.

Andy was born Dec. 1, 1950, in Macon, Ga. Andy was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Andy was a life long resident of this area. After graduating from Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., he served his country in the Navy for four years. After serving in the Navy, Andy came back to Fort Walton Beach to help his father, Doc Hall, lay bricks. Andy became a third generation well sought after brick mason where you can see his works all around the area. Andy continued the tradition when he taught his sons to also lay brick.

Andy loved his family. He was a devoted son to his mother and father. He was always calling and checking on them. Andy was a dedicated husband and father. He loved Donna and his boys, Shane and Chris. But anyone who knew Andy knew that he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Andy was the happiest when he was in the woods with his sons and friends. We would all love to hear Andy tell his stories about the deer he shot or the fish that got away. Once the grandsons came into his life, he showed them his love of fishing. He was a devoted grandfather to his three grandsons and cherished the time spent with them at the lake or the pier.

Andy leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Donna; their sons, Shane A. Hall and Christopher M. Hall of Mary Esther; grandsons, Gage A. Hall, Mason A. Hall and Christopher D. Hall. Andy also leaves behind his parents, M.J. "Doc" and Geri Hall of Destin, Fla.; sister, Judy G. Pittman of Destin; brother, Ray Hall and wife Kelley of Destin; nieces and nephews, Stacey Turner, Travis Woodward, Crystal Donaldson, Jared Hall, Jacey Mann, Haley Mann and Sierra Donaldson, all of Destin, as well as William "BJ" and Wendi Tipton of Fort Walton Beach, McKenzie Tipton of N.Y., Diane and Rachel Tipton of Pa., and Tyler Tipton of Niceville, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Friday at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, at 10 a.m., with the Revs. Chris Hughes and Danny Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.

Emerald Coast Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
