Beatrice Wilson Ramsey
Beatrice Wilson "Bee" Ramsey, 100, of Bradshaw Street, Belington, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Davis Memorial Hospital. She was born May 17, 1900, at Long Run, Sugar Creek, in Barbour County, daughter of the late Francis Creed and Effie Coontz Wilson. She attended the schools of Barbour County, including the Shockey Grade School and Belington High School. She was co-owner and operator of the Ramsey Family Restaurant. She was employed by Goodyear Rubber and Tire during World War II, and was also employed by the Barbour County school system in food service. She was a homemaker and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, E. Lucille Ramsey and Betty Lou Ramsey, both of Belington; and two brothers, John Wilson, of Parsons and Calvin Wilson, of Ohio. She was also preceeded in death by her husband, whom she married Jan. 14, 1920, Willie Ray "Bill" Ramsey on June 3, 1942; six sisters, Beulah Yoak, Claudia Workman, Ruth Massoni, Virginia DelBaglieo, Thelma and Mary Wilson; and three brothers, Cecil, Coontz and Francis Wilson. Friends may call at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington, from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and until the 2 p.m. service Monday, March 12, with the Rev. Arden Beck officiating. Burial will be in Belington Fraternal Cemetery.
