Harold Donald White was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of film producer/director Jules J. White and Margaret Davis. He was married to the actress, Ruth Godfrey. He was a film and television editor between 1950 and 1960, best known for editing several of the Three Stooges shorts. Among these shorts were: "Creeps"(1956), "Flagpole Jitters"(1956), "For Crimin' Out Loud"(1956), "Commotion on the Ocean"(1956), "Scheming Schemers"(1956), "Muscle Up a Little Closer"(1957), "A Merry Mix-Up"(1957), "Outer Space Jitters"(1957), "Pies and Guys"(1958), and "Sappy Bullfighters"(1959). He also edited the feature films, "The Werewolf"(1956) and "The Beatniks"(1960). Among his TV credits for editing were: "Circus Boy"(1956-1957), "The Adventures of Jim Bowie"(1957), "Whirlybirds"(1958), and "The Real McCoys"(1957-1958). Hal White died of a heart attack while fishing in Mexico. He was 55.
