James “Jim” Schrampfer, known as “Catfish Jim” or lovingly as “JimPa”, passed away August 31, 2015, unexpectedly while battling cancer.

Jim Is survived by his wlfe of 43 years Sheila; eldest son Jason, wife Sarah; daughter Julie, husband Jeremie; and youngest son Justin; the most amazing grandchildren Sydney, Bella, Brody, Grayson & Lilah; his mother Joan, brothers Jon (Brenda) and Don (Lura), sister Vicki (Bill) and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Eldon and nephew Jarrod.

He grew up all over, including living in Alaska and Taiwan. He was an avid football fan, loved music and enjoyed playing golf. He loved talking about his grandchlldren to all that would listen. Spending his life in the restaurant business, Jim, and his delicious food, garnered quite the following. He loved serving people and seeing their happy faces and overfull bellies. He will be deeply missed by all, especially by his loving family.

The funeral service was held at Carmichael Funeral Home, 1130 Whitlock Ave., Marietta, GA 30064 with burial at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, but we would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society. The world Is a better place because Jim touched so many lives. We will miss him and always remember his amazing sense of humor, and his happy, outgoing and loving outlook on life.
