Peter was born in New Hamburg, Mo. He married Jewel Snider in Scott County, Mo. on April 21, 1914. He served in the United States Army, Pvt. First Class, honorably discharged at the end of his term of service on June 6 of 1919. His occupation on Army record states farmer. Listed as having blue eyes, dark hair, ruddy complexion, and being 5'7 3/4" tall. He then served in the National Guard as a Sergeant in the 140th Infantry in Missouri, honorably discharged 10-28-21, at the end of his term of service. Listed as being of excellent character. Death certificate lists his occupation as miller. It states that his cause of death was chronic myocarditis, from which he had suffered for five years. He died enroute to City Hospital in St. Louis. The cemetery information is blank, however, it states Oran and as his wife is buried in this cemetery it is a likely conclusion his grave is here as well.
