She met Bill in Lepanto, and they married on October 9, 1953 in Rochelle, Illinois and moved to Lowell in 1966 to raise their family.
A devoted wife and mother, she spent her younger years as a housewife at home. Later, she worked at the well-known Lo Kai Restaurant in Dracut, where she was a popular Hostess for 13 years.
She enjoyed growing a variety of plants, and also liked to knit, crochet and cook. In her later years, she loved to travel with her husband, especially to Arkansas, where they celebrated many family birthdays, holidays and family reunions. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who would boast to all, that "Grammy" gave the best hugs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters; and a son. Eleven grandchildren; and a brother Numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was the mother of the late Larry E. Fike , who died in 1991.
