Charles Killian's obituary states that he was born in Germany in 1841 and died on Sunday, September 22, 1912. He came to this country in 1852 at the age of ten years. He was married to Miss Minnie Lahl in 1870. To this union four children were born-two sons and two daughters- all of whom are left to mourn the losss of a good father. His wife preceded him to the better land about seven years ago, and since then Grandpa Killian has lived a lonely life. He was a good Christian man. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He lived a quiet good life, repected and loved by all who knew him, and passed away at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 29 days. The funeral was held at the UB Church on Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev C L Jordan of Millersburg. A large concourse of sorrowing friends were present. The remains were laid beside those of his wife to await the resurrection morning.
