Mrs. James P. Weaver, from whom a thirty-six pound ovarian tumor was recently removed, died at her home near Stanwood last Saturday evening at the age of 62 years. Mrs. Weaver accompanied her husband from Canada to Austin township, this county, nearly twenty-three years ago, the farm upon which they settled lying about three miles east of Stanwood, in which locality the family has since resided. Mrs. Weaver was born in Toronto, Ontario, was well brought up and received a fair degree of education. Was the mother of six children -- four of whom are still living -- and was held in high esteem by this community in which she so long resided. Funeral services will be held at the school house in Stanwood to-morrow forenoon at 11 o'clock, and the burial will take place in the Higbee cemetery.
