MR. WORKMAN, BRUNSWICK RETIREE, DIES
JACOB R. WORKMAN, 77, of 170 Apple Avenue, a retired foreman for the Brunswick Corporation's pinsetter plant, died Saturday in Hackley Hospital.
Mr. Workman had been ill the past six weeks.
Born in Muskegon, Oct. 28, 1884, Mr. Workman had lived all his life in Muskegon.
A Brunswick employe for 33 years, the last 23 as a foreman, he retired in 1947.
He was a member of the Brunswick "Key Men's Club," an organization of employes in supervisory positions, a member of the company's Quarter Century Club and the Muskegon Foreman's Club.
Mr. Workman was married in Muskegon in 1909 to the former MINNIE DeLONG, who died in 1951.
Survivors include two sons, EDWIN of Muskegon and JACK L. WORKMAN of North Muskegon; three daughters, MRS. FRED G. COOPER, MRS. MORGAN LEGARD and MRS. RUTH BURDETTE, all of North Muskegon; a brother, THOMAS WORKMAN of Muskegon; two sisters, MRS. MARGARET CASEMIER and MRS. JESSIE KLISE, both of Muskegon; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
