Bridget Egan (known as Delia) was born in Ireland about 1841, the eldest daughter of Michael & Maria Egan and emigrated to the United States with her family in the late 1840s. She married John Quirk in Jersey City in 1867, and they had eleven children (six of whom died in young childhood). Bridget died from stomach cancer on the 20th September 1895. Her husband John and sons Billy and Harry are buried in the same grave.
