Boots was my very first pet.We always played together. When she got really old and and deaf I taught her commands in sign language that I learned from sesame street and made up a few signs so she knew what I wanted her to do. I was so sad the day I came home from school and found out my great grandma had her put to sleep even though I know that she was suffering and I was just too young to understand at the time.
