After battling with pneumonia for the past three days, Mrs. Christina Ludmann passed away this morning at 9:40 at her home on Logan Street. The loss of Mrs Ludmann will be deeply felt not only by the immediate family but by a great host of friends among whom she was a favorite.Mrs Ludmann had for many years been an active and enthusiastic worker in the german lutheran church, of which she was a member, and with her passing, the church loses one of its strong pillars.She was born in Elsass, Germany, on February 11, 1843, and moved to this county in 1884, with her husband. Since that time she had made Muscatine her home. One brother, and 18 grandchildren, survive her. The children to whom she was a loving mother are Phillip, George, Nicklas, Harry, Mrs Christina Klein, Mrs Kate Wetzel, Mrs Carolina Eichenauer, and Ms Bertha Ludmann. All are residents of Muscatine with the exception of Nicklas, who lives in Cedar Rapids. Harry and Bertha are at home.
