married Rachel Odle on December 3, 1829. Rachel was born April 15, 1810 in Tennessee.
They moved from White County, Tennessee to Missouri before their fourth child was born
in 1837. Elijah and his family were listed in the 1840 United States Government Census
of Pulaski County, Missouri. When the 1850 Census was taken, they were living in
Wright County, Missouri. Later that year they moved to Laclede County. Elijah built
a large two story log house, with split log floors and a fireplace, for his family
to live in. His house was built on the point of a hill overlooking the Steins Creek
Valley in the southern part of the county. There is a beautiful view of the valley
from his home. This house is still standing and is located on the property of Leslie
Murrell.
Elijah and Rachel spent the remainder of their days in Laclede County. They were
buried in the Moore Cemetery in Wright County. The Moore Cemetery is located near
the Laclede-Wright County Line.

Almiry Jane was born Novmeber 3, 1830. She was living with her parents in 1870. She probably never married.She partnered with Luke Mitchell. Their son's name was
recorded in Elijah's Bible as "Luis." He was born May 17, 1852. Lewis lived with his grandparents, Elijah and Rachel. Lewis married Sarah Williams on May 29, 1879.
William David was born October 16, 1832. Family tradition says that he was killed
during the Civil War. But, he was not listed on the 1840, 1850 or 1860 Census records.
Arlamaeda Ann was born October 18, 1834. Married Cantwell from Ok.
Malinda Caroline was born June 6, 1837 and died January 30, 1911. She married Albert
J. Webb in 1861. They became the parents of seven children, Thomas, Mary, William,
Albert G., John, Jane and Gaberial. Malinda and Albert are buried at the Mt. Zion
No. 3 "Cuba" Cemetery.
Francis Marion was born November 3, 1839. He was married three times. His first wife
was Lucinda J. Moore. Their two children were Alexander Lafayette and Emmarilar.
Emmarilar lived with her grandparents most of her young life. She was born in Arkansas
and the date of her birth was recorded in Elijah's Bible as March 6, 1867. Francis
Marion's second wife was Adaline Casey. Their children: Elijah L., Manda, James,
Marion, Rosa, Walter and Charles. His third wife was Elizabeth Giesler. They became
the parents of one daughter, Ada. Francis marion was buried in the Mt. Zion No. 3
"Cuba" Cemetery.
Marinda Evaline was born March 4, 1842. The last record of her is the 1860 Laclede
County Census. She was living with her parents at that time.
George Washington was born March 25, 1844. His wife's name was Jane and their children's
names were James, Sally, Allic and Sarah.
Arinda Adaline was born November 18, 1847. She married Jeramiah Massey on July 25, 1865.
They were living in Laclede County in 1880. Their children's names were Rachel S., James
A. and Elijah. Rachel S. Massey's birth was recorded in the Bible of her grandparents
as occuring on Sugust 29, 1866. The Massey Family moved to Oklahoma. Arinda Adaline
and Jeramiah are buried there.
James Allen Monroe was born January 22, 1846. He married Nancy Ann Casey on November 1,
1866. She was a sister of Francis Marion's second wife, Adaline Casey. They were the
parents of William M. and Sarah M.
Rachel Samantha was born May 10, 1850. She married James N. Davis and they became the
parents of Nancy Eveline, Sarah Adeline, Elijah Mathias and John Eldridge. Rachel S.
died at age 91 and is buried in the Davis No. 2 Cemetery.
