Born June 8, 1932 in Salt Lake City to Norman P. and Leona W. Nelson.
Married George E. Merrick; later divorced. Married Ken Carlson; later divorced.
Always a hard worker, she took great pride in her home and yard. Her sense of humor kept us smiling up to the end.
Lee retired from Mountain Bell/US West after many years of service.
Survived by daughters, Michelle M. (Bryan) Burnham and Wendy M. (Doug) Hanson; her brothers, Donald G. (Betty) Nelson and N. Wayne (Hendrika) Nelson; many loving nieces and nephews; two of her greatest joys in life were her granddaughters, Jessica Nicole and Jillian McCall Burnham. Preceded in death by her parents.
A special thanks to the caregivers at Crosslands Care Center and LDS Hospital for their love and compassion. Your gift of kindness made her final days peaceful for her and her family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 1998 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, where friends may call on Thursday, August 27, 1998 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to the services on Friday from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
