Fred is the son of Jack Campbell and Cattie Harrell. He is a brother to Mary E, James E, Sarah, Luke, Janie and John Campbell. Fred served as Private First Class with US Army's 3260th Quartermaster Corps from 22 Jun 1942 to 25 Dec 1945.
He died when struck by a railroad trolley.
His father made application for him to have a military marker.
