Valentine Steuerwald, 62 year old, died at his residence 1175 East Ninety-sixth street, Canarsie, Thursday, from pneumonia. He was a well known real estate broker in business for more than twenty-five years in Canarsie. He is survived by a son, Valentine C.; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte C. Halsey and Gertrude, and a grandson. The funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, the Rev. T.A. Peterson, pastor of St. Matthew's German Lutheran Church on Flatlands avenue, officiating, and the interment will be in Cypress Hill Cemetery. Mr. Steuerwald was born in Germany. He was a member of the Canarsie Board of Trade and the Fred Harms Association.
