Voice Actor, Comedian, Author. He was a composer, singer, actor, author, comedian and advertising executive whose career spanned eight decades. In 1944, he went to work at Warner Brothers doing voices in a cartoon called 'For He's a Jolly Good Fala'. Often teamed with Mel Blanc, they performed in pairs and Freberg did solo voice work for such cartoon characters as Dumb Dog and Pete Puma. He did voice acting for Walt Disney Productions in 'Lady and the Tramp' (1955) and also provided the voice of Sam in the Academy Award-nominated short 'Mouse and Garden' (1960). In the 1950s, he began to record musical parodies, including 'Wun’erful Wun’erful', 'Try' and 'St. George and the Dragonet'. His recordings were so popular that he landed his own radio program in 1954, 'That’s Rich', and three years later, he hosted 'The Stan Freberg Show' on CBS Radio. In 1959, he won a Grammy Award for 'The Best of the Stan Freberg Shows'.
