Mr. Hewey Testerman age 88, of Crumpler, died on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Testerman was born on March 14, 1927 in Ashe County, NC to Nelson and Lula Peak Testerman. Mr. Testerman was preceded in death by his parents, ten half brothers & sisters, Luther, Winfield, Marshal, Harrison, Eugene, Avery, Melvin, Troy, Bynum, Lura, ten brothers & sisters, Dewey, Mammie, Coy, Millard, Lillie, Ada, Pete, David (killed in World War II), Verna and Thurman. Mr. Testerman volunteered as a senior companion for over 16 years. He was received awards from the President, Governor and Ashe County for his volunteer service to his community. Mr. Testerman is survived by: his wife of 69 years, Terrell Jean Owen Testerman, four sons, Gary Testerman & wife Nancy, Larry Clark Testerman & wife Joyce, Jeffery Bryce Testerman & wife Sara all of Maryland, Timothy Nelson Testerman & wife Susan of Mississippi, one daughter, Mary Ann Zugates & husband Tracy of Maryland, nine grandchildren, Gary, Jennifer, Morgan, Douglas, Cara, Candace, Aaron, Hilary, Nicholas, ten great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Devin, Nichlas, Jameson, Madison, Brynlee, Jett, Hailey, and Alini. Also surviving are several
