Mrs. Henry Blumer
ALBANY - Mrs. Henry Blumer, 80, lifelong Green County resident, died early today in Monroe, after a long illness.
Elizabeth Rhyner was born Nov. 6, 1887, in Mt. Pleasant Township, the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Freitag Rhyner, and was married to Henry Blumer Dec. 15, 1910. The couple farmed in the area until moving to Albany in 1944. Mr. Blumer died in 1961.
Elizabeth was a member of Royal Neighbors and Rebekah Lodge of Albany and Swiss United Church of Christ, Monticello.
Surviving are three sons, John, Roy and Alvin, all of Albany; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, John, Casper and Wilbert, all of Albany; Alfred of Brodhead and Lloyd of New Glarus; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Pfeuti and Mrs. Joe Blumer, both of Albany.
Services were held in the Sharer Funeral Home; burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
