Henry Blumer

ALBANY - Henry Blumer, 72, died Friday in St. Clare Hospital, Monroe, where he had been a patient since Tuesday.

The son of Hilarius and Rosina Marti Blumer, he was born Feb. 13, 1889, in Sylvester Township. He married Elizabeth Rhyner, Dec. 15, 1910, at Monticello. They farmed in this area until moving to the village in 1945. He was employed by the county highway department until eight years ago. He was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Alvin W., Roy J. and John, all of this area; six grandchildren; two brothers, Mathias, of Beloit, and Joseph, of Monticello; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Kubly, Monroe, Mrs. Henry Krueger, Monticello, and Mrs. Mathew Babler, Albany. A brother, J. A. Blumer, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Sharer Funeral Home, the Rev. J. A. Mittler, Monticello, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.
