Mrs. Maria Salzbrunn, for many years a prominent resident at Rice, died at 9 a. m. Thursday in St. Raphael's home here. She would have been 87 years old September 8.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m Saturday morning in St. Marys Catholic church at Rice and interment will be made in the family lot of the parish cemetery. Rev. Victor Ziegler, the pastor, will officiate.

Mrs. Salzbrunn was born in Germany and married there. She lived at Opole and moved to Rice more than 50 years ago.

Mr. Salzbrunn died seven years ago.

There are 10 surviving children—Robert, John and Mrs. Andrew Hohmann, Rice; Tony, Flensburg; Mrs. Minnie Cordie, Randall; Mrs. George Blackhurst, Gray Eagle; Peter. Bena; Joseph, St. Cloud; Paul, Little Falls: Mrs. Fred Tieman, Royalton. There are 29 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The body is being held at the Andrew Hohmann home at Rice.
