Grace Hall Hemingway was born in Chicago, Illinois and died in Memphis, Tenn. Graduating from Oak Park H.S. in 1891, Grace went to New York where she studied voice with Louisa Cappianni who thought Grace could be an opera singer. She gave a concet at Madison Square Garden. She came back to Oak Park and married Dr. Clarence Hemingway in October 1, 1896. They had six children, Marcelline, Ernest Miller, Ursula, Madeline, Carol, and Leicester Clarence. She directed the children's church choir and the orchestra at the First Congregational Church of Oak Park.She was also an artist.
Psalm 28:7 reads as follows:
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. KJV
