Henry Gross of San Mateo died Thursday in Mills Hospital in San Mateo. He was 77.
A native of Fresno, he had lived in San Mateo County for 50 years. He was retired from his job as a chief at Westlake Security in Daly City.
His wife was the late Blanche Gross. Survivors include a son, Gary of San Mateo; daughters Deborah Padilla of Pleasanton and Vienta(sic) Preston of Hillsborough; brother Fred of San Mateo and Leonard of San Carlos; sisters Lydia Muench(sic) of Redwood City and Esther Gross of Fresno; and four grand children.
Friends may call after noon on Monday at Sneider & Sullivan Funeral Home in San Mateo, where vigil services begin at 7:30 P.M. Monday. The procession leaves there at 9 A.M. Tuesday for a 9:30 funeral Mass at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. The family suggest contributions to the American Heart Association.
