Rosine Schwarz was the daughter of Andreas Reyenthaler and Magdalene Gassert. Rosine married Johann Friedrich Schwarz in Hohenacker on 26 July 1825; he died in 1835. She came to Baltimore from the area of Hohenacker, Wuerttemburg, in 1855, with her son Gottlieb F. Schwarz, several daughters, including Wilhelmine Schwarz, and a grand-daughter, Wilhelmine Friederike Gnamm. When Wilhelmine Schwarz married Michael Buchwald, a farm laborer, later butcher, from Bavaria, Rosine went to live with them in Gardenville, on Belair Rd. Based on the date of her will and the date it was proved in court, it is likely that she died between August and November 1863.

The German inscription is nearly illegible in places, but may read something like this:

"Mother
Here rest in God

Rosina Schwarz
Born in Hohenacker
Wurttemburg

In the grave is peace
In living pain
Sleep gently below
You precious heart

Softly Rest Her Ashes"
