Age 83 of Cranston - Son of the late Antonio and Maria (Iannello) Sivo. Husband of the late Shirley M. (Sullivan) Sivo.

He was the father of the late Pfc. Anthony J. Sivo who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1968.

Also predeceased by his siblings, the late Anna Caparco, Sarah Zulla, Margaret Paliotta, Mary Santoro, Carlo Sivo and Saverio Sivo.

Born in Cranston, he passed away at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He resided in Cranston most of his life.

Mr. Sivo was a supervisor for Bowerman Brothers Construction Company for 40 years until retiring. He was a WW II veteran serving in the US Army Air Corps. Mr. Sivo was a Staff Sgt. serving in Central Europe and Northern France. He was a recipient of the European Theatre of Operations Ribbon with two Battle Stars, the Good Conduct Metal and the American Theatre Campaign Ribbon. He flew B-17 bombers as a gunner. He was a lifetime member of the Tabor-Franchi VFW Post #2396 of Cranston.

Survived by his sons, John Sivo Jr. and his wife Marjorie of Cranston, Robert Sivo of Cranston and Carl Sivo and his wife Mary Frances of Worcester, MA.

Grandfather of Derek, Anthony, John, Olivia, Ellaina, Christine Marciano and her husband Michael; great-grandfather of 1.

Also survived by his brothers, Charles S. Sivo of Johnston and Eugene Sivo of Providence.
