Bert Morgan, 81, Indianapolis passed away Dec. 12, 2014. He was born July 27, 1933 in Indianapolis to Euin and Bertie (Grant) Morgan.

Bert, also known as BoMo, was known for his love of sports, especially the Pacers (ABA), the Indianapolis Colts, and both IU and Purdue. He was an avid player of slow pitch softball, establishing a yearly tournament at Wabash Park Campground during Family Camp.

Bert attended Wayne Township schools, culminating in graduation from Ben Davis High School in 1952. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan. Upon his return, he worked at Allison Transmissions and then Naval Avionics. He later moved to the FAA Center at Weir Cook Airport, where he remained until retirement in 2006, having served his country for more than 50 years.

His great love of the Lord manifested through his commitment to his church, and especially through his financial support and personal travel for missions and VISA, a program of the Free Methodist Church. Bert traveled to the countries of the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Russia on work teams helping spread the gospel of Christ. Mr. Morgan had been a member of the Free Methodist Church since he was in his teens, having attended several local congregations starting with Mars Hill FMC and ending with West Morris Street FMC.

Bert's family would like to say a very special thank you to his niece, Leah Wolcott, for providing her special brand of care for his last 18 months.
