An Episcopalian funeral Mass for Marge Farrow, 87, of Vacaville, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 20, at Epiphany Episcopal Church, 300 West St., Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.
Marge passed away on Monday, Oct. 13 at her Vacaville home of 39 years, after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Marge was born in New London, CT and raised in Waterford, CT. She held a variety of jobs that include serving as a Secretary at Bishop Seabury Episcopal Church in Groton, CT, Ballroom Dance Instructor, as well as her last job, where she worked as the Navy Base Exchange Manager at the New London Naval Submarine Base. Though it was her unpaid job as a homemaker that she was the most proud of.
Of the many interests Marge had it was dancing she loved the most. She sang and danced with the Leisure Town Entertainers in their variety musical shows and had many years of experience dancing ballroom. Marge also loved to sew and make costumes as well as root on her beloved New England Patriots and her favorite tennis player, Rafael Nadal.
Marge is survived by her son, Shelby, Jr. of Vacaville; sister, Edie Gimlin of Dallas, TX; brother, George Droney of Hendersonville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Farrow, Sr.
