Sam Crain Stanley, 39, of Hamburg died Monday, February 27, 2006, in Farmerville, LA. Mrs. Stanley was a lifelong resident of the Milo community outside Hamburg. She graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1984 and from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1988. She worked for Best Home Health of Shreveport, LA, as the director of nursing for the Farmerville, Bastrop, Monroe, Columbia and Rayville, LA, offices and was a member of the Eden Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Stanley; a son, Boots Stanley; a daughter, Shay Stanley; her parents, Gary & Sheila Meeks Crain; her maternal grandmother, Macel Campbell Knight, all of Hamburg; and two sisters, Sissy Cruce of Lacey and Nikki Calhoun of Wilmar.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, in the Eden Baptist Church with Revs. Doyle Wesson, Keith Wesson and Mike Titsworth officiating.
Burial followed services at the Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers were Trent Knight, David Wesson, Steve Bolin, Billy Withers, Jon Bierbaum, Tracey Strange and Mike McBarron. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Johnson, Clarence Daniels, Danny Stanley and Steve Sistrunk.
