12/17/1964- Tuttle Times:Funeral services were held Tuesday for Hiram McKinney, 90, who passed away at his home early Sunday morning. Rev James Cross, assisted by Rev Louis Hale, officiated. A trio, Mrs H.O. McClendon, Mrs Eloise Hovis, & Mrs Don Smith furnished the music. Pallbearers were Benny Douglas, Henry Klippel, Herb Hammons, Raymond Stovall, Ed Baler, & Luther Ward. Mr McKinney had suffered a stroke several weeks before his death. He was born 2/2/1874 in Greer county, TX and came to Tuttle from Blanchard in 1916. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include 4 sons, Ossie, John, Wessie, & Avery of Tuttle, 5 daughters, Mrs P.B. Eades of Tuttle, Mrs Hollis Lingle of Norman, Mrs Pearl Lingle, Mrs Wes Welchel, & Mrs Harold Clark of Tuttle, 41 grandchildren, & 75 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Will of Enid, Tom, & Lane of Gallup, NM, 2 sisters, Mrs Dosha Ramsey & Mrs Bert Roach of California. Burial was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sowers funeral home.
