This beautiful stone depicts clasped hands, which are symbolic of a bond of love that reaches beyond the grave. We learn from the inscription that James Currie was 27 years old when he passed away in 1908, so his birth year can be estimated as being either 1880 or 1881.

The headstone is found in the Old Churchyard of Auchterarder, which is located on the corner of High Street and New School Lane. It is a small churchyard, and this particular stone is in the rear portion of the lot, beyond the WWI Memorial.
