The funeral for Marie W. Frost, 90, of Fremont will be 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Fremont.
She died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Fremont Area Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Fairfax, S.D., to Ernest and Mary
(Grabow) Frost. She grew up in Bonesteel, S.D., and graduated from
high school there. She was working in the Kaiser Shipyard in
California where she met her husband to be, Kenneth C. Frost. They
were married Oct. 8, 1942, in Reno, Nev. After the war, they moved
to Fremont. He began working for the Fremont Hatchery, later forming
a partnership with Arnold Daniel to buy the hatchery. Her husband
preceded her in death Dec. 24, 2003.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and had been active in her
church circle.
Survivors include: two sons, Rod (and wife, Sarah) Frost of Ames and
Ken (and wife, Vivian) Frost of Fremont; two grandchildren,
Stephanie Frost of Fremont and Josh (and wife, Teresa) Frost and
their children, Emily and Charlie; her twin sister, Wilma Wiksten of
Topeka, Kan.; and a brother, Ted Krambeck of Wichita, Kan.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Ken and
Irwin, and two sisters, Anna and Lynnetta.
The Rev. Delmar Wiemers will officiate Wednesday's service.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Ludvigsen Mortuary in
Fremont with family receiving friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Visitation
will continue one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial
will be in Baptist Cemetery near Uehling.
