Mrs. Emily Belle (Emma) Westbrook Fothergail Passes Away – Obituary

Mrs. Emily Westbrook Fothergail, 706 West Vandeveer Street, died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon from pneumonia. She had been very low for three days and after taking a turn for the worse Saturday morning she was not expected to recover.

Emily Westbrook was born in Taylorville on November 20,1867; she was the daughter of Craig and Sarah Miller Westbrook. She has always made her home here. She was married to Alfred Fothergail in May, 1887. Her husband, a sister, Mrs. Eliza Westbrook Winn, four children: Harold, Mrs. Roy Lee, Veda, and Pearl, all living at home except for Mrs. Lee of Hewittville, survives her.

Besides being missed by the members of her family, over which she has watched with a love and kindness, her loss will be mourned by a large circle of friends throughout this community.

The funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church with Reverend Doctor of the German Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
